It struck me that given the siamesed centre exhaust ports on a flathead if you were running a blower it might pay to swap things around so fuel/air went in at the bottom of the heads and exhaust came out of the top. It's easy enough to build (in scale) but was it tried back in the day? I.e. would it render the build unTRaKable?
I'm thinking front mounted S.C.o.T. or Potvin blower on a very set back engine with the exhausts coming forward and then out behind the front wheels.

Here's a photo of a reverse-flow nailhead from back in the day: www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=437331Looks like Dick Landy did a reverse flow flattie with modern tech in the 90s: www.flatfire.com/flatfire2.htmI found a couple anecdotal mentions of early blown flathead rails running nitro, with reverse-flow for better breathing, but no photos or names/data. That's a bizarre concept, but stranger things were done! Can't see it being Trakable on a street-driven car, though.

Thanks folks. I've seen reverse flow motorcycle engines - usually drag bikes (ram air effect with the carbies on the front) or show bikes (extra points for "engineering").
