I got this set of tires in my last order from Modelhaus. They are T-190's. I'd like to use them on my Econoline build. Are they TRAKable? Lettering on the tires is as follows, only the tire sizes differ. "GOODYEAR, BLUE STREAK, SPORTS CAR SPECIAL, NYLON. The sizes are, 25.0 x 7.5-15, and 27.0 X 9.0-15 Thanks, Gary

Those look like re-pops of the tires from the Revell '32 Fords, with added whitewall inserts. Definitely a "street rod" tire in my opinion, but after attempting to do some quick research online, I still don't know when they were first made. When I think "Blue Streak" I think of the drag slicks that were being used mid 60s or so...but these are different.
Under an econoline, they're probably fine! I think if anyone here objects to tires like these, it's when they're put on the front of a fenderless hot rod.
Maybe someone more knowledgeable about these tires will chime in.

The tread pattern is a bit heavy on those compared with the real thing, but as far as being Trakable, I'd say yes (without the whitewalls, obviously). Quoting myself from another thread: The tyres in the Revell/Monogram kits were originally tooled as Good Year Blue Streak Sports Car Specials (which are bias ply, not radial BTW). The lettering has since been removed from the sidewalls. These Blue Streaks, as well as Firestone Indy tyres, were somewhat popular in the mid-late '60s and you will see them in magazine features and car show coverage. So, for a hardline '65 cutoff, they're a "no", but they should be acceptable for late '60s, at least on the rear. Still, everything else needs to hang together to represent the period...

Nice answers so far, thanks! So it's looking like they'll work under the fenders of the Econoline then. I haven't paid attention to the back sides of the tires yet, but if they're not too bad, then I can reverse them. At any rate, I was gonna paint the whitewalls. Thanks, Gary

I LOVE the tires on that T-bucket, but had no idea the tires in the '32 kits were meant to represent the same kind of tire.
Huh!
Maybe if I sanded the treads down, narrowed the fronts and glued them back together, and applied a blue line somehow, then I'd actually be able to USE all those Revell '32 tires!

^Yes, that is what I said in another thread somewhat recently I think. It is a shame that these Revell tires are not closer to the real Blue Streak street tires from the '60's. I'd also love to see the Firestone 'sister tires' in scale. They typically had a gold line around them comparable to the thin blue line on the Goodyears.
Btw, AMT actually made a more realistic version of the Goodyear Blue Streak 'street' tires but fell short in overall tire dimensions. They were a bit on the small side in height/diameter. Being a hollow tire makes it difficult to modify them too.
