.. I might "copy" this one. I like both cover and scoop. Colour is a hard nut.. a silver-ich yellow? Indeed. Not sure about the yellow but I'm stuck trying to decide on a color or two tone combo for this thing. Anyone have any ideas? colors? two tone? interior? I do have a some paint in stock to choose from!

Thanks Ed and Johnny. Both very good possibilities. Still not sure...I'm really stumped on this one.

I was doing the final scuffing getting ready for paint and realized I need to shave the door handles...out came the block and paper. Now a few more rounds of sanding and priming!

While I was at it I decided to remove the upper chrome strip and gold insert area. Still more smoothing to do but I think it looks better, less "busy"

It kind of looks like you softened the lower portion of the trim on the front fender. Did you mean to do that? Were you planning to bare metal foil the trim once the body was painted? I think it would be pretty cool if you were to just 'mold' that remaining strip of trim into the body as if it was a sculpted body line; and obviously paint it body color along with the rest of the body........not at all unlike the sculpted body line around the coves of a '62 Corvette where as it was a chrome strip in '61. This would be the final touch on saying that this is a custom; while retaining the factory chrome trim lines in the process. What do you think?!

Like Randy said, it was lightly engraved. I might just remove it all like you said Ed, not sure just yet. Thanks.

For that side trim, you may just "almost" remove it, then cover the ghost outline with thin styrene?

The trim on the front fenders has always been faint for some reason on these kits. It's not hardly as noticeable once the foil is on. I would sand it all off and see what it looks like. If you don't like it, you could add it back with some half round or rod. Maybe do something custom with the trim?

Looks awesome Ron! I personally think it would look 'trick' if you were to make the trim appear to be molded to the body. Obviously, you would not need to do anything other than paint the trim body color and make sure there are no apparent gaps to suggest that it is chrome trim (so no body filler work). What was/is your intent here?

I might want to two tone the paint and that would act as a proper separator, still not sure on the paint yet though.
