Ok, here's the deal.... I know that my buddy, Les, lurks here from time to time, so I thought that I'd post a few pics of his wild little Dusenberg hot rod and see if we can't get him to speak up and join the fun.... This thing was a true junk box build, that all started when Les dug an old Monogram Dusenberg dual cowl phaeton out of a junk box during one of our monthly club meetings. In the days that followed the Doozie body was shortened, narrowed, sectioned and chopped... All together parts from something like 20 different cars were used in this build.... How many can you pick out? To give you an idea how much the body was altered, heres a look at the model as it was intended to be built.... But the story doesn't end here.... Les cut up the back half of the body and handed it off to me.... So what am I gonna do with the back half of a Duesenberg? What do you think??? ;D

Man, what a kool pair of rods! I will build a big zooty car into a hot rod one of these days. This one gets extra kudos because you got TWO cars out of one!
