Yeah, I need another project like a hole in the head, but I was home sick today and went through my build pile in my closet. If I get stalled on one project - I can shift to another one and of course if I can benefit from suggestions from you guys here - before the mistakes and it is done - all the better. Here's one I started a few years ago...4 -banger from the Revell 31 Woody kit , Z framed and highly modified T bucket from the Monogram kit. Think you guys will recognize the T bucket parts...narrowed up considerably as they did for wind cheating. Engine has Winfields from the parts box (Lindberg I think ) - and Rileys from the hop up parts in the stock woody kit. The big exhaust pipe is an ancient AMT part from somewhere....the front dropped axle I think is a AMT Chevy '29 cabriolet. The gas tank is a military model part ...probably 1/35 scale vehicle. The spoked wheels owe some inspiration to pictures on the subject where the fronts don't match the rear wheels...believe them to be stock '31 woody kit parts. I think posting the inspiration for the build is entertaining and sharing your research source helps others - these pictures come from Dean Batchelors excellent book The American Hot Rod which has a wealth of information on post WWI - 1940's subjects.

Very cool project. I love the one seater idea, and the 4 banger. I started working on a 4 banger project this past weekend as a distraction as I finished up my 30 coupe.
Really digging the polished shotgun exhaust on the 2nd inspiration pic.

I have a set on my desk top as we speak.

I like it a lot, you speak my language. Sure wish one of the resin houses would release that Riley head and associated parts, wouldn't it be cool to have all or most of those banger parts in a resin kit!!!

Well, another build I put on the back burner. Need to pick this one back up.
I've hooked up with FOTKI since the Photobucket hassle, and retired ...........so I can work on these older projects.
Where did I put that 4 banger with the two Winfield carbs...? LOL

Very cool. I have never seen anyone that I can remember build a T-Modified out of the Monogram body but it looks like it will work well. Can't wait to see more!

Keep it up. That's a neat project. Now if only somebody would carve and cast those three people on the cover of Batchelor's book in addition to the 4-banger parts.
