welcome to TRaK! looks like a neat project ya have going there, i don't know what to say about Alclad though sorry.

Cool Lookin rod.
Alclad...Never used it. What I have learned on the trak about it already is that you gotta use an airbrush to apply it. Also You need a Black undercoat.

Hi racer13 I use Alclad all the time it is great but you must take you time.It must be sprayed withe an airbrush at about 10 to 14 psi i use the Testers airbrush propellant from walmart it,s $3.99 a can and i get 20 to 35 parts painted out of that.My airbrush is a $8.00 unit from Harbor Freight.Frist clean your parts good then spray them with testers flat black lat them sit for a day then spray them with testers high gloss black let that sit for 2 days them shoot the alclad very light 1 maybe 2 coats you will have to play with that but you must let them dry with out handlying them at all for 10 to 15 days belive me i have tryed to use them sooner but it will pick up finger prints.Good luck.
