'58 Fairlane 500 Semi-Custom! Finished!

Well, after all these years this project is "on the shelf!"

That turned out fantastic, it was definitely worth the wait! This is just my style, pretty mild but still everyone sees immediately that it's a Custom. I really like the custom grille and tail lights, and I've always been a great fan of a Scallop paint jobs like this. That combined together with Chrome Reverses and good color combo, I wouldn't change anything if it was mine. And on top of all that, it's very nicely built as your stuff always is.

She's a beauty John! It's surprising how well the front bumper and grille works with the body. It has a very natural look to it. The tail lights are also a perfect touch. A sure sign of a well thought out custom! Excellent work!

Gorgeous, what else can I say. I absolutely love the scallop layout, and also how subtle the end effect is...the scallops don't overwhelm the lines of the car.
I also love how the taillights turned out, they almost glow!
The mesh in the hood scoop is a great little detail, and I was impressed by the level of work that went into fixing up the body and detailing out the interior--work that isn't immediately apparent in the finished model, but contributes to everything looking "just right".

You do so much with 'old school' plastic! It's simply amazing every time; and just proves that with a little bit of research, hard work, and perseverance you can make a screw chassis kit hold it's own with anything being currently produced today!
