Looking badass!! Your knowledge of kits and parts must be encyclopedic. I used to know most of the parts I had, but now I've lost track. Just a couple days ago I was fiddling with those AMT '34 headers and looking at Ed's collectors, thinking maybe they could go together--but I didn't clue in to using the Revell 283 parts-pack flanges. Genius! The improved Double Dragster injector manifold is a treat. So thanks for the explanation; I'll have to copy those headers sometime. Where does that Hilborn pump come from? I need a few of those suckers (although they won't be difficult to scratchbuild). *edit* Oh yeah, nice engine mount too. I have bolt envy. Thanks, Chris! I was struggling with what headers to use since I first repurposed this project last summer. The '34 kit headers are the best fitting ones I had but aren't the greatest looking things. As soon as I got those collectors from Ed a couple of months ago I immediately thought to use them on these headers. The flanges were an accident. After Craig challenged me to get back on this project I was fiddling with it a few nights ago and considering a front mount blower since there's all that space. When I pulled the Revell parts pack engine out to look at that front mount set up, there was the flanges and a light bulb went off! As the headers were the outer tubes were too wide to line up with the head so using the flanges corrected that. 2 birds, one stone! The fuel pump is from the Tony Nancy 22jr double kit.

Glad to see you back on this one Dennis. Fun to see so many of this "rare" old kit being cut up at the same time.
Now i just need to keep the pedal down on mine so I can get them done before you and John and anyone else that jumps in on this informal community build.

Very nice engine work as usual! I think the breather location hides too much of the nice header work, especially with the engine setback. I agree they are needed but I wonder if there are smaller ones or if they could be relocated?

At the rate I finish models, you've got plenty of time! It's definitely cool to see a pile of these old things get build side by side by side by side. Keep after it!

I agree they are needed but I wonder if there are smaller ones or if they could be relocated? Too late! I drilled mounting pin holes in the valve covers so I'm committed!!! LOL The headers will be a stand-out color, though, so they'll be plenty visible.

That is one brutal roll cage, haha. As if the car didn't look serious before! I like that you're incorporating original parts.

Great, if people didn't think it before now people are really going to think I'm build a poor mans version of the Dennis Lacy 28 sedan gasser. See the update I just posted on mine concerning the very similar interior mods.
Hey, what color are you thinking so I can go ahead and buy the same color too?
But seriously, yours is looking great Dennis. Nice fab work as always
