Good to see you over here, Phil! You'll probably recognize a few names from MCM. The bare steel version looks killer! Looking forward to seeing the shiny black version, too.

Cool stuff! I keep thinking I should try and head out to Victoria for Deuce Days; I have family over there...but it's almost more hustle and bustle than I can envision putting up with, haha.
This deuce is lookin' good so far.

That Bare Metal Deuce turned out very nice! Also the start with the black version looks really promising. I especially like the opened up louvers on the hood.

Great to see new members here Phil, especially of your caliber. I'll be following along with this one for sure.

I am fortunate enough to see this in person. I really like the chop and the inspiration vehicle.

Nice job on that interior! I thought the top pic was a shot of the real car for a second. Looks like you nailed it!

Very nice work. The rolling chassis matches very closely. It's awfully street roddy, though.

Nice detail work! It's looking like a very good match to the 1:1 car. It's cool how you matched the back tires exactly, and found headers that matched too.
To me the only in-your-face Street Rod attributes are the fat radial front tires and the later-model chevy valve covers. Everything else sort of skates by, considering that Revell '32 series kits are allowed on TRAK despite their Street-roddy elements. The 1:1 actually has slightly narrower front tires than the model version, which helps it maintain that "traditional if you squint" appearance.
Once the front tires are under the fenders, and the hood is on, the car will take on a much more traditional look again. Kind of like the HAMB, where a 350, disc brakes, and a T5 trans are considered OK on a trad car...as long as they're not the focal point.

That chassis is so nice, it's almost a shame to cover it up with the body! While it does have a few parts that are too modern, they'll be hidden mostly once the body is on. Except for the radial tires. Maybe set it up so you could change the tires easily? I want to see it when it's done whether it gets to stay here or not!

I am usually pretty good about reading instructions and guidelines but I admit I did not do so before I started posting here. I now have done so. I fully respect and support what this forum is all about. I am therefore deleting my posts of this non-traditional hot rod with no hard feelings.

Ack! Well, OK. If you post it elsewhere (ie DrasticPlastics forum) maybe let us know? I seem to recall it's on MCM too. I'd like to follow the build and see the finished product because it's very thoughtfully and carefully constructed so far! Thanks Phil.
