Ditto the detailing on the engines and sprockets, and I like the changes to the seat...it has less of a toy-like appearance now.

There are custom show karts built. The kit as is would be along those lines but I wanted a more stripped down version.

The extra work you did with all of that detailing, it really paid off. Definitely one of the best versions of this Go-Kart that I've seen.

Yes, they did! Some non-racing models had free-wheeling one-wheel drive, but to go fast, a live axle was the way to go. My neighbor raced, and would take us kids along to the local track,(mid-60s) and there was quite a variety of manufacturers evident, both chassis and engine. I'm waiting for the Karts to be offered in a parts pack (hopefully) so I don't have to buy another 60 Chevy pickup!
