Panel lines cut and vent windows are made. Now the body is done and ready for last primer and top coat! Also did the chassie to check the stance on it. This will NOT lay frame.

Marcus, That is just stunning in it's own rite! Having followed this since post no. 1, I'm going to come right out and say there were a few times when I thought - "Boy, is he ever way in over his head!" I'm sure you did too. This is such a massive change in body and trim work that it is an undertaking that few of us will ever see. (Though I remember a few major projects from the 60's Model Car & Science and Car Model magazines that were nearly as extensive.) I've mentioned several times that I really like this car and appreciate all the hard work to come up with a truly original Buick. Thanks for documenting this huge effort to the beautiful Buick (outcome) that you've ended up with!
In hindsight, wonder if it may have been better to have located the side chrome and added it after paint. Pretty sure it would have made the bodywork on the sides of the door area a bit simpler. (Easy for me to sit back and offer after the fact hints I'm looking at the overall process with an Engineer's eye towards "Process Improvements. So take it for what it's worth! Or not!)

Wow!! Looking good, Marcus! It's crazy how far this build has come. Very impressive. I like the unconventional paint color combo, it's simultaneously classic and contemporary.

Wow! Thank you for those words! This is so far my biggest project ever. It has been more planned and challenging than my first buick 50 build. With this i realy wanted everything to feel as a Buick and that was not easy. Had to study hard on pictures to find the right body lines and made a few paper templates to get both sides look the same. I love to challenge myself and with this i realy did it. Not to the point i thougt it was to much, but still to the point where i can’t find anything else to build that will be more challenging in the future. I plan all my builds step by step very well. When i have to scratch all my trims i always do it like the last step just before the body is getting ready for first primer. Sometimes i do the easy trims (like window surroundings and straight body trims) after the first primer. In this case I new the trim making was going to leave a glue mess (with a lot of sanding after) all over the place and did the trims right before the first coat of primer, when the side panels were ”done”. The body work after the trims are added is just the ”easy” job making the body ready for final coat of color. Marcus, That is just stunning in it's own rite! It feels unreal to me that this is getting close to it’s finish line. Have been working on it since feb 2020, but with a break of three months. It has been a real story of it’s own. Haha. I realy love these two colors together with the curves on the body. When i painted it i thought that the black was to much. Nearly to the point of making it all green, maby just go black roof. The black has grown in me and now i realy like it. The way it marks the shapes on the side panel trims and adds a contrast to the green.
