Never been a big fan of the Duvall windshield. But, I think it's going to look just right on this project. I did the exact opposite with the Phantom Vickie by grafting the roadster cowl to it's body. What's the color of the wheel paint? It's got the perfect look to it. The paint is Model Masters "Jet Exhaust". I think that on a larger part like a wheel it looks an awfully lot like the dow 7 coating. And I find that on carburetors it looks the part of the zinc coating new carburetors have. Especially with a light black wash to highlight the deatails. Jet Exhaust is my go-to for carb painting. Even though some brands of carb are a little more golden in hue i use this on everything anymore. Good to know it looks different on wheels, because it looks great on yours. I need to pick up a couple more bottles before Model Master goes away, just in case this isn't one of the colors they integrate into the regular line Your conversion work is nicely done. Looking forward to more updates

The "jet exhaust" color is perfect on those Halibrand wheels, I've always disliked the Orange Crate's chromed Halibrands, trouble was back when it was newish we never had anything like "Jet Exhaust" to paint them with! Nor were most of us smart enough to figure out how to dechrome them in the first place! Off to eBay to get some Model Master "Jet Exhaust"! LoL! Thanks for that great tip btw.

This is sweet! I love the combination of the flathead with the Halibrands and big slicks, especially with the wheels painted like the Dow-7 coating. The jet-exhaust is my go-to for that, too.
