First rate job, it came out better than you thought, didn't it? I agree! Thanks for brightening my day, and thanks for posting.

Looks great! I was so caught up following all your careful work that I failed to notice how well everything works together. The top chop is just right, which is rare on these Exner bodies. I think it's the way it complements the subtle taper on the frenched headlights and the ends of the fins. All three areas combine to give the center of the bodyjust the right "weight". The fade paint job then "sells" it. The side view shows what I mean. Just a terrific concept beautifully executed.

Beautiful! Thanks for sharing all the WIP pics of this one. It's been fun to watch it come together. Ditto Bernard's comments on the chop, proportions, and fade job. Looking at this model, for the first time ever I appreciate the unusual black-painted trim section ahead of the front wheel arches...it's like the designers wanted a cavity there with a floating emblem inside it, and painting it black was a close second best. Normally a detail I'd support the erasure of, but I get it now! It makes the car seem that much slimmer and "faster". Well done and thanks for sharing

Followed along as you created this & the end result was well worth all the effort.
This is one of the cleanest & most subtle customs I've ever seen. Every modification not only works & looks flawless, but complements every other modification. They all work in harmony together, a perfect example of well thought out, planned & executed work. It's all topped of by a gorgeous & deceptively simple looking fade paint job that also blends everything in harmoniously.
Speaking of that paint job, it & the wire wheels adds an air of elegance & distinction to the whole thing. One can see a young actor of the time, flush with cash, or a studio exec having a coachbuilder creating something like this.
Superb in every possible aspect.
