Craig's posting of his version of the Shuklis Red Rever inspired me to jump in. Since I already had an extra TV Tommy Ivo Showboat in the stash I could use as the basis for the frame, dual engines & 4WD drivetrain, all I needed to pick up was an AMT 32 Ford. Got that yesterday: I started hacking away at the Showboat frame this morning: I wanted to use the Showboat since it's already 4WD & between that, an incomplete Ertl Blueprinter Double Dragster I can rob frame parts & other things from, & Evergreen tubing & rod, I think I'm well set. Dunno how long it's gonna take in amongst other projects, but we'll see & as I get further along I'll post more updates. BTW that Stude I picked up yesterday is also going to be built Trakable, stay tuned...

Quick update; got the frame together & the back part cut off: Likely the top bar will need to be cut away, but I wanted to get it together to see what needs modified. And for now, that's going to be it for a while. The reason why is I contacted Mark Gustavson, who runs the International Model Car Builders Museum. They're in possession of the original Red Rever, so I asked him if he had any pics of it he could send me. He responded to give him a couple of weeks, as he was tied up, remind him & he'd take several pics for me to use in building my version. A good reason to set it aside for a few weeks!
