Thanks for the input, guys! Bernard, I'll take your suggestions "under advisement.” If you look at the Photoshop version, you'll see that the top of the opening is couple smidges lower. Maybe that's where it needs to be. Looking back at the P-shop version and then comparing it with the prototype on the parts car I think if you reduce the area of the opening behind the rear wheel like in the P-shop version and proportion the shape and height based on that it will look mighty fine.

I like it with the "copy" of the front wheel outline. Hey John...did you go to the Super September Showdown today? Message me..ok? I like it fine that way too, but often when we make body mods when building a custom, one change affects other areas & that has to be addressed, & sometimes the best way to address them is to fix/adjust them before they lead to other issues. Something as relatively simple as just opening up a fender without dealing with the other issues it creates can give an unfinished look there that you may not even realize unless it's pointed out. In the spare body mockup, Bernard noticed the issue. Better then instead of on the actual model during the bodywork procedure. That's often a failing of too many custom projects, lacking a clear vision & failing to deal with how one design change can affect others. I've often ran into the same thing myself, so I know how it can cause an unwanted ripple effect. The planning stage is the most crucial in doing a custom build, assuming the builder can tackle the bodywork mods, which we know John can.

I like the open rear wheel wells, takes away the heavy look in my eyes. As for the from bumper, why not do body color below the thin bumper shape to mimic the rear bumper and rear valence? Paul

Yup, that's it! Thanks, Bernard! I appreciate you're input! I think one thing that really helps this is the visually equal distance between the front opening and the molding above it as in the rear. That space doesn't look as "pinched" as before.

That space doesn't look as "pinched" as before. Nice observation. I think you're right. Ironically, considering that the '59's were a panicked response to the Exner Chrsyler Corp. '57's, the rear opening dones this way, because it makes the car look less tail heavy, gives it a wonderful "Forward Look". And I love the way the upper lip just kisses the inner edge of the wheel rim. It makes the chrome wire wheel just sparkle, somehow. Looking forward to more of your magic.

Now it looks like a factory Buick Invicta Sport Hardtop. They coulda and shoulda done this. It's a fine looker. Gary
