This project is finally in the spray booth! Phase 1 is Tamiya Pearl White on the rear deck and roof. Then Tamiya Purple Anodized Aluminum, from their R/C car paint series, over Tamiya Silver Leaf, with TS-13 Clear on top.

As the Mafioso Guy said in the original (Michael Caine) version of "The Italian Job", "Pretty Car!". That is before he had Caine's Aston Martin DB smashed up with a loader and tossed over a cliff... I'm hoping no one gets that extreme here! Seriously, the paint colors you have picked out will for sure make this one a "Pretty Car!" which I'm liking pretty good from here!

Gonna be any trick painting John? Not on this one, Gary. Not up for a 12-hour masking job this time out!

Purple laid down pretty nicely. Maybe one day I'll get a flawless paint job, but not today (sigh.)

Very nize. I like the way the light bounces of the belt line, it makes it look like a fade or fog detail 🧊cool.

John, that color is stunning. How is the paint to work with in your opinion since it's intended for Lexan bodies? I have been eyeballing that color for a couple years since my LHS got it in, but I had mixed results when I tried this myself a few years ago. Seemed to have some adhesion issues on some parts when I did this one. Fortunately the parts that required repainting were simple enough to do. But I am fully aware it could have been my prep process rather than the paint itself. So that's why I'm curious.

Since you asked, I checked on the fender skirt from this kit I used as a paint test as the paint would be applied to the model. I firmly applied a piece of Tamiya tape to the skirt, then peeled it off, not being real careful, with no lifting or other adhesion problem. Repeated the test with the same result. I can't say how other tapes may work or not. BTW, sweet pickup!
