If I selected this one for the "Koolest Kat" award at Kemps, would I be in trouble? LOL Looking forward to seeing you and Mrmetalic at Cedarville.

WOW...that came out very nice. I never used the colormaxx before does it dry fast? Using a food dehydrator can dramatically speed up the dry time of enamels and other paints. FYI I my have to get one of those dehydrator. Thanks Craig.

Using a food dehydrator can dramatically speed up the dry time of enamels and other paints. FYI I my have to get one of those dehydrator. Thanks Craig. You should be able to get a brand new one for 20-25 bucks. Maybe cheaper if you can find one in a secondhand or goodwill store. If it doesn't have a temperature control buy a cheap oven thermometer (less than $5) and keep the temp under 120 (100 for resin). You may need to add more vent holes to the top if you have trouble keeping the temp down. But the benefits are high, especially for enamels. It dramatically accelerates the dry time for just about every paint (except catalyzed paints which cure, not dry) and is even helpful for decal application and other things. Sorry to hijack your thread Randy

This kind of project is right up in my alley, so I will be watching. Very cool old box art build, but kind of an "improved version" when starting with a kit that is up to today's standards on what it comes to tooling and detailing. The paint looks very good too, nice work so far.

Nice paint, love that shine! Almost Washington Blue, which is one of my favorite early Ford colors, way too many Black Fords so blue is right on the money!!
