IMHO the "Street Freak" look was a 70s trend, BUT...a little internet research tells me that Mickey Thompson first sold tires like that in '69. So I guess your 'vette makes the TRAK cutoff!

It more so fits into the “Street Freak” genre, which began late 69 and really hit its high point with the end of the NHRA Gas class for the 72 season. Further muddying the waters, many NHRA & IHRA Gassers saw both track and street use at the same time, depending on local tire laws the slicks might be swapped out for treaded street tires and some sort of muffler combination to keep the police “satisfied”. The tire combination was available in 69 so I would say, it slips under the Year limit for TRAK-able subject matter! Nice Gasser flavored ‘Vette!

It's kinda a mixed bag as to era actually. I well remember two Street Gassers in my neck o' the woods in North Carolina, a 67 Chevelle SS I saw several times as a kid, & this was circa 68/69, & a 61 Impala that was owned by a guy on my street in the 70s.

I think the biggest thing taking your build past the 69 cutoff date are that the rear tires are a bit too wide for the era.

Back in the 70's I had a set of those Mickey Thompson tires on my Nova. They were pretty popular back then.
