And no, I don't mean as shown on the box! I'm backdating it to match these rims/tires: I'm using the factory 2x4 bbl setup from a 58 Vette, with either the optional chrome Vette valve covers, or a set of generic finned valve covers: I'm going for a circa 1966 vibe, which is Trakable. However, most rodders in the 60s weren't looking at/building pickups back then, except as shop trucks, & I'm building this as if it were being build as a rodded truck, not as a rodded shop truck. So, based on that, would this be Trakable?

Mark, you have been here a long ass time and you know LOL
Just because it wasn't "mainstream" doesn't mean it wasn't done, go for it!

TRAKable as all git out! In high school early 70’s timeframe lots of my buddies were driving Tri-Five Chevrolet and F100 pickups, most of which had been built or modified at least 10 years earlier. Well except for the guy running the pretty darned new 454 truck block in his ‘56 Chevrolet. One of the “Tricks” I guess you could call it was to swap out the Short narrow bed from the 55 - 57, 58 pickup for the short wide bed from a ‘60 Apache pickup for a “cheap Cameo”. at least those beds could rust versus the faux rust I’ve seen on a Cameo or two full size and scale!
Ive always thought the Chevrolet 55 - 57 pickups were better looking than the 53 - 56 Ford F100’s. When I was just starting out working summers spinning wrenches and bending nails, I wanted a Tri-Five Chevy short bed with a warmed up small block, nice wheels, aqua & white with a comfy roll & pleat interior, but alas all that money was going for college . So I never got the sweet little pickup I dreamed of…. Thank goodness I’m almost retired and starting my second childhood as my Mom points out every chance she gets. She backs it up her observation with the fact that I still play with toy cars! LoL!!
