Doing a mid 1960's build.Something that could have been built in the driveway or school auto shop. I'm fitting the Revell 1969 Nova dual carb SBC with the 4 speed. It'll pass for a 1967 Z28 302 easily I used the front sump kit pan and shaved off the Revell timing cover to use the Moebius because it has the short water pump. I glued the front frame to the pan and the firewall to test fit the engine. With the location pin removed from the 4 speed it fits perfect. I set the inner fenders in place and tried the right '69 Nova header. You need to \remove the power steering slave cylinder (kit has no P.S. pump anyway) to give header clearance. Just set together it appears it will work good. Also checked the Revell rear width to the Moebius rear and it will swap in and give me wheel choices. Paul

Nice start! Those equal-length headers look right at home.

Nice start! Those equal-length headers look right at home. They sure surprised me! The engine / trans, headers along with the rear end fit well. Seems many of the Revell 1968 Nova parts fit with minimal issues! Paul

I have the 12 bolt from the 1969 in using the Moebius springs, shocks, mounts and slapper bars. I used the Revell wheels and pin assembly on the rear along with the rear sway bar.I cut the ends off 1/16" on both sides to tuck the wheels in a bit. The Moebius chassis in interesting,it has the blocked holes to move the leaf springs in about 3", slapper bars and an Optima battery in the parts. Wonder what version is planned next? Got the inner fenders mounted and the full front suspension. I used the Revell Yenko Nova mags on the front with the Revell disc brake wheel back. Easy swap! Open the pin hole on the wheel back with a 1/16 drill and pop them on. Put the body and wheels on to check the stance. It's close to what I want, with the interior in it will come up about 2mm in the rear. Paul

Agree on your raising the height of the rear, top of wheel well opening with the top of the rim is a "Classic Nova" set up. Looking at the front-end suspension and subframe bits it looks like everything is swappable with the AMT '66 Nova SS, probably even the whole frame setup. Love them "Slapper Bars". Nearly every Muscley car that I ever owned (99.9% GM) had a set of yellow Lakewood Slapper Bars! They work really well with a positraction rear end too!!

I know the sub frame, firewall and inner fender wells are the same too. I bet the entire chassis assembly would fit with minimal work. I'll find one of the 66 Nova kits and check, if it fits I'll post some pics. Paul

Well, then we'll have to decide which one is better! LoL! I'm partial to the 62 to 65 Box Novas, the 66 67 rounded box doesn't feel right.

Got the chassis 90% and the engine / trans in. Had a lot of fun with the headers . . .they went in after the engine was in. Still have a rust wash to do on the headers and road weathering on the chassis.

Got the basic assembly on the body done with the front and rear panels fitted. I figured now that the locating points on the front pan and rear tail light panel are available I'd check to see if the stance wanted came out late 60's style. It works for me!
What about it??
