A quick build of the Revell 57 Snap kit. Shaved the door handles and removed the rear license thing, I found it ugly , too big and distracting. I prefer the smooth look back there. Sombrero caps from 49 Mercury. Tires from a Pegasus set. Paint Scalefinishes.com and their clear also. Great way to put one on the shelf.       |

Although I think a custom grille would have really made that car pop, it is still a very nice build. Gold is always a great color for the 57.

Robert I thought about a grill change but wanted a simple quick build. It was about trying a new finish and and brushing up on my Bare Metal Foil technique. By the way color is Copper. It is one a new line of metals from Scalefinishes. The camera does not show its true look, could be my camera and lack of skill with it. Yes the owner of Scalefinishes is a friend, and is local to me . |

When I was a youth, that was exactly what would be done to a 57. Nosed and decked wasn't as expensive as removing the rest of the chrome. Super clean, beautiful build George.
