I built this as a New England / East Coast style rod from 1957. Channeled,40 Ford dash, steering column, wheel and column shift. Engine is a 1956 283 Power Pack Dual Quads hooked to the Revell 57 Chevy 3 speed with over drive. The shorty Hedman headers came in the 1962 original issue Revell 1955 Chevy. Steering is back dated to 1946 Chevy box with parts box pitman arm and drag link mounted above the frame.
Interior is medium Blue and White tuck and roll. Body has 10 inch channel and modified rear panel for the New England style exhaust and nerf bar. Tail lights are from the original SWC Willys, exhaust pipe shields in rear are model rail road pipe flanges. Both the front and rear bumpers are hand formed from brass. Paint is 1957 Chevrolet Tropical Turquoise. Crap! The left valve cover is leaking oil again. Paul

Cool build!! I like the way the exhaust comes out the rear panel. Bumpers look good chromed up too.

Dig the cool East Coast style details, especially that rear view.

This is the way the first hotrods I remember looked. Great build, enjoyed checking it out.

Great job Paul. Clean without a bunch of frills. What I remember seeing unless you went to a car show where the chrome was poured on.

Love the period-perfect details! Kinda looks like an earlier rod that's just had an engine-upgrade to one of those new Chevy V-8s everybody's talking about!

Love the channeled/unchopped look! I also enjoy the custom nerf bumpers all the New England guys seemed to put on their cars; you chose one of the best-looking styles to emulate so well done haha. I tried making a bumper like that some years ago and had a devil of a time getting the curves to match and the ends to line up. Fiddly work, but it makes a huge difference to the overall look of the car. The blue/chevy red color combo is classic too. Good-lookin' little car.
