Doug Thorley's 64 Chevy II AWB race car

Here's one that I forgot I had on the shelf for about 6 years. It's one of the most famous AWB cars of all times built by Doug Thorley back in the mid 60's.  I built this from a glue bomb I purchased from ebay and spare parts I had lying around. It's not super accurate to the 1:1  but close.

Mike, Nice work on that one. I think about all of us know how those old AMT A/FX / Street Freaks
cars lacked in a whole lot of details, undersized Big Block Chevy, just plain weird rear ends,
spindly fragile front suspensions... However, they are a great start to building an A/FX Car or
a Match Racer. In the right hands, with the right parts they can really shine as evidenced by
this really Sharp Little Chevy II!
