Test fit on the stance. Lower the front a scale 3 inches and the rear 2 1/2. The front spindles I relocated the axle pin higher and used a .062 Evergreen rod for the wheel mount. Rear I just used a .o6o x .100 plastic . I wanted a slight rake in case I run Scavenger pipes under it. The AMT Kesley Hayes wire wheels fit on to the AMT / Lindberg 53 Ford kit using the Vicky tires, shaving a small bit out of the white wall inserts with a #11 blade to recess the wheel flush. Sand about 1/32 off the wheel back to have the wheel depth good for the tires. Hosted on Fotki

Nice. Though as a general rule I think a car with a forward rake looks better without skirts.

Patience. . . it will all become frighteningly clear soon.

Patience. . . it will all become frighteningly clear soon. I had a doctor and an ex-wife that said the same thing..... But not for the same event.

Finished most of the engine and added scratch build tri power intake and split exhaust. Adapter the Ford O Matic, made a clear fuel filter bowl in the fuel pump and made 2/3's the exhaust system and the Dynatone Steel packs. Interior is just paint and foil detailed. Body has 55 Olds style taillights I made from red acrylic rod used for gun sights. I shaped and re polished the taillights on my lathe. Still have to form a custom grill and make some misc. engine details. Hosted on FotkiHosted on FotkiHosted on FotkiHosted on FotkiHosted on FotkiHosted on Fotki

Paul, Who would have thought that "Predominately Pink" interior color would go with the Lavendar'ish exterior color. Not me! Don't think that I would have put those two together in a million years. Normally I shoot for something opposite on the color wheel to compliment the primary exterior color. This really works, it works soo well too!
Lots of progress on the engine, engine bay and chassis - you've been really busy there! Everything looks good, this is going to be one really "Sweet Koolsville Kustom"! I'm totally in like with this one. I've always passed by the Lindberg '53 Fords, they weren't a real popular car for customizing or running on the street in their day. In the right hands it could turn a sows ear into a real silk purse...

Liking this more. That six banger probably put out more power and torque than a stock flathead!

Liking this more. That six banger probably put out more power and torque than a stock flathead! 6 more h.p. and 14 lbs of torque , but Henry always under rated it to justify the V-8. The finished car in posted.
