I began this build ten years ago in August. I'd take it out of the box once in a while, lose interest in it, then put it away again. I just couldn't see the finished model in my head, but what I did see didn't give me much hope. That all changed last week after I finished the 57 T-Bird. The time was right to finish this one too. It just looked so much better after I polished it. Gary

Now I'm thinking of another chopped AMT Merc with a chop like this one but with the 49 rear window (less the 2 dividers), and mail slot rear quarter windows, and filled dip in the doors for that long flowing look. 51 rear fenders again? Let's see if I can find an appropriate rear bumper, hmmmmm.

I've been building models in eight (!) decades. Does that make me experienced or just old? I'm old! Well, I do have SOME experience!
