Tom, this came out great, and definitely on my to-do list. Pretty much box stock with ignition wiring, just like yours.
Which version of the kit did you use? The most recent release from a few years ago. I was told the decals in that version were really good. I know there's a lot of compound curves on this body to deal with.

Tom, Great work, especially on those decals with the clearcoat they look like paint! Having tackled those decals before, I'm well aware of their finicky application. they don't want to go where they are supposed to go and sometimes if they do they decide it's time to split or tear... Not to mention building this kit or any kit for that matter as "Box Stock" or maybe box stock plus is pretty difficult for most of us who would rather embellish it into even cooler forms takes lots of restraint.
I've always liked Big Daddy Ed Roth's Xcalibre, Outlaw as it shows some of his thinking outside the lines build style(s) pretty much in their beginnings. You hit a Grand-Salami on this one. Really nice work for a "Stock Kit"!
Looking at this kit and some of Revell's earliest offerings I can't imagine how some of us even got them together. Thankfully we didn't have super glue back then or the tiny bits would still be glued to our fingers! LoL!

As everybody was commenting about those crazy decals, you did one heck of a difficult job! I'm sure the rest of the kit was tricky too. Gary

I know there's a lot of compound curves on this body to deal with. Thank you! I used the Revell kit from 2010, number 85-4294. The decals were decent, just a tad on the thin side for the amount of complex curves. I would have even preferred more decals to accommodate the curves instead of having to "stretch" these. Being an old airplane builder, it is frustrating when you tear a decal because it was 'stretched". Micro-sol can only go so far. And, I couldn't believe that I found this at a yard sale along with a deuce coupe that I built into "Holy Roller" a short time ago. Both kits for.... Drum roll.... $5 !

Folks, I really appreciate all the comments. I'm about as red as a tomato here. It is humbling to get so many positive comments from "the experienced crowd". And, imagine my excitement when I discovered the kit for the price that was on it?! It was on my bucket list again, as I did it a few times when I was younger. I had the opportunity to take my time on this one. Thanks again folks.
