just in time for the first day of Spring. In the 50's and early 60's, open touring cars were hot-rodded in warmer climates, like southern California. I tried to depict that style of car with this reissued '27 Model T. The paint is a Tamiya military color (U.S. Navy) with Duplicolor clear. Wheels and engine are painted with Citidel blue paint and clear-coated."Rat rod" kit wheels and tires (painted very dark gray) and Bare Metal Foil trim rings. Flathead from the new Revell '32 Sedan. Made folded-roof supports from wire and aluminum tubing. Plate and "Kings" club plaque lifted from the net and resized. Spare tire from an old AMT '32 Roadster. Many of the old touring cars had a lap blanket or quilt in the back to keep folks warmer. Gauges are from Model Car Garage. Top down touring. Flathead was a tight squeeze. Used stock headers, relocated generator, made the "flexihoses" and scratchbuilt new motor mounts and crossmembers underneath, along with scratched exhausts. We're headed to NNL EAST soon!!!

Nice job! how ya do the flexhoses? Shaped the plastic tubing, then wound a thin wire around it. Glued the wire at both ends with Ca glue. When dry, I painted them with flat black

Lyle, as usual, you nailed the look! It's just like the ones I've seen in my old Car Crafts from '60-'63. Good job shoe-horning that flathead in there! And great idea for the flex hoses. I like it.
You're going to have quite a stable at NNL East!
