On this build I went with a 50's styled hot rod. The tires, wheels and caddy hub caps are from the 49 Merc kit, rear fenders were bobbed, air cleaners are from Mr. Model on ebay, hemi engine is from my parts box (I have no idea what kit it came from) and the headers are 3D printed. Paint is Tamiya TS-14 and cleared with 2K. Thanks for lookin'!

Wicked ride! You rarely see any rods built in this fifties' custom style...

Most definitely a sweet ride. Not sure if you are familiar with the writing of Henry Gregor Felson. In the late 50's early 60's he wrote a series of books about teenagers and hot rods (Hot Rod, Street Rod, Crash Club, and a couple others). Pretty typical "Rebel Without a Cause" style, but I read every one of them in my High School Library in the mid 60's (yes, I am that old). What I am getting at is this rod could have been the feature in any of those books, when I read those books, this is the rod that was pictured in my mind. And yes, I am trying to collect copies of these books, they will fit right in with my collection of Rod & Custom little books from the mid 50"s forward.
