half done with wet sanding the body. Just so nobody is confused, this is not a super slick painted drag car. I am purposely going up to 12,000 grit paper and not buffing it out. I also rubbed a bit thin on the roof to make it look sun faded and worn. The finish may look slick, but it's just dull shine. I will be adding minor weathered spots here and there....but there won't be a ton of rust...it's a used drag car!

That super-berserker detailed wheel is gorgeous! ;D The whole build promises to look as nice as that wheel.

though this is not going to be 100% correct nor is it even a replica...I want to put class on the windows. Does anyone have suggestions? I was just looking at Hot Rod December 2007 and saw a couple old photos of wagons. One had class A/SA and the other B/FX. I am no smarty with all that shit...lol anyone know if those would fit or what one would? The car will have a 390 built pretty much stock with (imagination) bored, cammed etc...

Being a nearly stock wagon and engine, I would put it under Super stock.

Bob, you may want to go over to Rick's Vintage Drag modeling forum and ask there. your choice for rear tires i think create some issues for "stock" and even super stock classes in the early 60's. i think the widest allowed for a long time was just a 7" slick or cheater. if you really want to be accurate it could be a problem, but if you are just having fun with the model and want to add a cool detail who cares. i have the formulas for Modified Production classes, i don't think those will help though. i think the basic formula is the same though in that it's engine size/rated H.P. and the factory stated weight of the car that determines class. you still need the class breakdown though.
