well this was started awhile back for a drastics hot rod build...it was almost finished when i tried soemthign new..i wanted it to have a nice motor,,so i stuck the buick motor in it from the kit..i had the chassis finished up,,lowered down, fenders were painted,,but i want the body to look like was still being worked on..so i primed it, then painted, then i sanded down the paint to make it look like a old paint job. then i threw some bondo spot putty on it,,it ate through the paint, the primer, and etched the body..so i stripped it down, sanded on it forever, got it to lok and feel smooth..a coupel of weekes ago i primed it..the etches showed up through the primer..anyway im still workign on it,,, Hosted on Fotkihere the link to the rest of the pictures password::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::barbara public.fotki.com/His-n-Hers/southernmutts_junk/1940fordratrod/

Hey Billy, nice start, I have heard that a primer sealer is supposed to keep ghosting away, but I have never tried it myself.

Hey Billy! Can you use that "etching" to your advantage? Maybe make it look like rust or body dameg that is still in need of work on a "real" rod? Like the body was just pulled outta Ol' man Crankeryankers garage for $20 bucks, and Hotfoor Harry was at the right place at the right time? Think about it. Sometimes, mistakes are just opportunities unrecognized.
