I have always wanted to build a rusty looking rod. I recently found a great tutorial on how to achieve such a look with acrylic paint! I had to try this for myself! I went and bought a pack of rust powders for model trains as back-up. Between the two of them I got the look I was after. I haven't been this stoked about building cars since I was a kid... Im always running out of colors to choose from....but when she's all rusty she can be what ever color you imagine. Alls I think about at work is finishing this build.... Oh yah, It started as the AMT beverly hillbillies kit. I got two, just in case this didn't work out. I think I will build a before and after.

As said before, those wheels really make it stand out ( Like Jimmy Shines 1:1 whatever-its-called ). If it weren´t for the velcocity stacks, you could misstake it for a 1920`s wreck found in a deserted barn..
Go ahead. Looks cool. Build it !
