Well, modelered ADD has struck again. i picked up this nice resin body at the KKIM meet yesterday, and I just could not resist getting this one started. I beleive it's an R+R body, but it's not too bad. Some pinholes on the lower edges of the front end, but otherwise pretty clean. It comes with an appropriatly extended interior bucket too. Will have mild custom touches like rolled pans, sunken antennas, and grille swap. As always, when I start a project i think I should be able to knock it out quick, we will see i guess. Maybe a y block for power?

R+R make these bodies. i've got Steve's site in my favs and he's got a butt load of the older cars and i think pickups.
Craig is that a '54 Pontiac grille? it doesn't look like one and it's drivin me nuts tryin to figger it out. whatever it is, i like it.

I can remember which AMT box I found it in, the '49 coupe or 50 convertible. It's deceptive in the pic because it still has the sprue attached at the ends. i think it's supposed to be 2 seperate grille bars, probably in the 50 convertible kit

Maybe I oughta start another tudor. The ones I got are just a bit too modern fer this board. They're not hard ta scratch build... just a matter of usin' the roof from a second body... or, in my case, the 12th, 13th or 14th body.

Well, I've made a bit of progress on this one, so I figured an update was in order. I have molded in the front pan, made openings for a pair of jondutch's 56 Olds tallights, molded in the rear pan, and removed the door handles. The first coat of primer revealed only a couple defects needing repair, so I may be in paint very soon. Plans call for the spots from the revell 49 merc, and probably a candy apple red or white paintjob. the look I am aiming for is right off the little pages of R+C about '56. Mild customizing, with just the right amount of chrome.

very nice, i wasnt aware that they made a 2 door sedan shoebox in resin, i'll have to pick one up, i have a spare rolling chassis that already has the perfect stance! Modelhaus also casts one also for a few dollars, Im thinking a 50 and 51 GeorgeC
