I figure you can't have a traditional rod these days unless you find it in the barn... So thats what I'm building. this is the start of my first small diorama. Once its finished it will be how I reveal all my cars. Either found in the state they were put in or nice and shiny from endless nights of customizing.

First off I really dig your interpretation of the beverly hilbillies kit. Also I cant wait to see more on this project. What are you useing for the walls? I started a dio a while back but I havent worked on it much at all. Yours might give me the jumpstart I need to get back on it.

I built the walls out of balsa wood. Mostly eyeballing measurements while looking at barn ref photos. I found an $8 bag of wood at my local hobby shop that came with an assortment of balsa wood pieces. I also got a model train diorama starter kit that comes with a bunch of grass, dirt and glue. Can't wait to give that a try.

Yeah. That kool ol roadster needs a barn. I like to see cars fotographed with a neat backdrop.

got myself a railroad terrain starter kit. It has a bunch of sample grasses and dirt particles. Its alot easier than I thought it would be. Here is my progress so far.... I found a great tip to use the bristles from cheap $1 store paint brushes for tall dead grass. I plan on trying to make a few hay bails using the brush bristles as well.
