Nice chop on the cab... the '60 is probably my favorite Chevy truck and I can't wait to see where this one goes!

Eric, i happen to like the '60 Chevy pickup. what you've done so far is gonna make this truck even MORE gorgeous than it already is.

Nice start, Eric! The first pic illustrates what a nice looking truck the '60 was, and the second shows the potential badness that lies within.
Is that what you needed the '65 stepside bed for? I need to get a '60 kit now...

Thanks guys! This is what I was looking for a '65 stepside kit for. I was planning to adapt the '60 windsheild into the '65 cab, because (a) I think the Revell offering is a nicer kit and (b) I don't like the '60 hood. But I gave up on it, got the '60 fleetside kit and used the stepside from a '57 truck kit. It worked out well in the end. This truck is going to be the tow vehicle for this one: It wont be nearly as wild as my bubble top, but it will be far from stock. I know not everyone (probably most are not) isn't a Goodguys member. However, I am being paid for the article I submit so I have an obligation to allow them exclusivity until the issue is a month old. This build wont show up for a couple months anyhow, but I couldn't resist sharing a bit.

Those oughta make a great pair... pain't 'em ta match and put the bubble on a matching trailer. Or, put a kustom shop name on the tow vehicle and paint it and the trailer a different color.

or use the bubbletop-trailer from the Silhouette kit...... That could be a pregnant idea... you'll hafta modify the trailer and leave the bubble off, I suspect, but might be really kool for a show truck to ride in.

I always thought the Silhouette trailer was kinda goofy looking. It will just be a plain open trailer, I'll probably scratch build it. I haven't really thought about a paint scheme for the bubble-truck yet, but I'm leaning towards some kind of watson-esque fade job. Then maybe to the same paint scheme on the tow truck, just with reversed colors. Either way, they will always be paired together.
