I'm starting a new project that I'd like to keep in TRaK, but I'm going to use this tube type frame that I have recently aquired. I assume it's an aftermarket part. I have no info or instructions, but I can figure out how to assemble it, but not sure if it's TRaKable. It was entirely chromed, which was the first thing to go. ( I hate bling)

Clay, I think these were originally released in or around 1962. I think that they would be TRaKable based on that fact, unless AMT or Revell could predict the future of automotive technology.

Thanks, jeff. I'm changing my mind about using it for this build. it's gonna be too short and set too high. It'll be easier to scratch what want than modify this.

I have a version of this, it's a A.m.t. kit. The version I have was put out about ten years ago, with an allision aircraft engine, a t.v. camera, and a bunch of differant wheels. There is a more recent A.m.t parts kit with a model T body for this frame, with abunch of engines and wheels.

I might know something about AMT parts pack parts. The item you have is probaly from an AMT/ERTL "Buyers Choice" kit from about the mid-nineties. The frame is a little odd, in that the front suspension is torsion bar, and the rear is conventional "buggy spring" components.
The most recent Stevens International Parts Pack release has a "T" body that is actually meant to be used with the Fiat frame in AMT's orginal Double Dragster kit (to be reissued by Round 2/AMT later this year).
The frame/suspension you have is just a bit odd, but will work with a little (or much) imagination.

The torsion bar front suspension makes me think it is a Dragmaster T frame.

The torsion bar front suspension makes me think it is a Dragmaster T frame. ************************************************************************** Kudos, Good Kall, Kat! My nephew, Philip, had a Dragmaster T, original chassis, all except engine. He thought it was well-built, but 'hokey'. He traded it to a wanna-be rat rodder that cut everything Dragnaster off it, and gooked it up with a Corvair front and '57 Chevy (wide!) rear! When I showed Philip the Dragmaster model, (and a HRM article, he was crestfallen. He then built a channelled Model A Coupe! (3 years ago, right in town here)

With a few cuts here and there in the bodywork, to incorporate that weird front suspension, your frame's perfect for backdating one of Revell's Buttera '26 / '27 Model Ts as the wheelbase is nearly identical
