This will be my first time touching any plastic in almost 1 month. This is the first project to be done in my new hobby room in my new apartment.

I just picked one of these up. Its such a great kit! There are too many options...so far it just sits there undecided...Love to see what you come up with.

Don't worry,i think that is a problem that most of us have. I normally work 12-15 hours a day,so i know all about it . The most important, is that you build for fun. Build looks good so far. Roger

ARRRRRGH, MY EYES - PASS ME THE SUNGLASSES....
No, seriously - It's a refreshing new take on a classic subject I't has a kind of late eighties feel to it, and I must admit I actually like it...
The finish on the paintwork also looks killer! - Have you thought about adding some flat black stripes??? (OK, I know we're leaving the Classic Kustom way of tinking here...)

SM, i LIKE THIS!!! don't believe i'd add anything but the pinstripes outta the kit. i think if you add any more than those, it would clutter your Merc up. if you do add just those, please don't put em on like in the instructions. i don't know who the "engineer" was that drew em like that but to me, it makes the car look cheap.
i've always liked to use that type of pinstripe to "acentuate" a part(say sunken antennas).

OK, I gotta comment on the PINK! It takes a guy with some pretty big cajones to select pink! I AM Kiddin'!!! Have ya' maybe tought about a scallop treatment in off white or cream color. You could even still use pinstripes (selectively!!!) and come across as a trad-sled. As long as ya' don't go overboard on the wheels, say, caddy sombreros and WW tires, should look perfect. I ain't tryin' to take over your build, just suggesting. Man, that color is a retina-burner for sure! Let us know how this comes along. BTW, take your time on building (beleive me, I speak form experience....) Build at your pace or otherwise you'll get burnt out. If yer crankin' em out at 2 or 3 a month, then the flare kinda leaves ya, and it starts gettin' boring. Keep it real, keep it fun, and keep yourself interested in what your doin. If ya' have to, move over to a different project or two for a little while and let this sit. You might find that you get an idea for one build as your working on a totally different build. Happens to me ALL the time, and I work on about 5 (or MORE!!!) at a time.
