I had started this roadster a while back but I never liked the direction it was going so I stripped the paint today. The paint before was kinda a flat blue army colour. Now its gonna be 60s style with metalflake blue and a blown oldsmobile motor from the Beatnik Bandit kit. Heres a mockup...

And get the interior decals and give it a black-and-white houndstooth job!

Thanks everyone! I found some beat up pie crust slicks for the back, moulded in a frenched licence plate and shoehorned the olds engine in last night. Now I have to french in some caddy tailights. I'm gonna try to actually finish this one..I havent finished a single hot rod all year and so I figure I gotta take on a simple project because otherwise it isnt gonna happen. My theory is that if I only work on this till its done and dont work on any other projects then I should be able to complete it.

It's simple, and I LIKE IT! Nice lookin' start. I got somethin' similar planned, only gonna do a Salt car with no windshield and a tonaeu (sp?) cover over the interior. Gotta do some research on class designation (Blown 4 cylinder, Alcohol, open wheel), but once I get all of that straightened out, should be a flash in the pan project.
