this is one of my stalled projects i have. it's the AMT '60 Chevy pick-up that i dropped as low as i could. i got hung up on the grille for the front as i don't like the custom one at all that the kit came with. so until something comes along or inspiration hits again she's just collecting dust! i love 60's pickups! this one in particular one of my favorites! need some inspirations? ;D i just spent 30mins looking for some pics...not easy to find. i have idea in my head what it would look like if mine though.....take this Galaxie for example , i would combine the looks of this car into that truck....IMHO, would look great! that Ford is awesome! my uncle had one of those cars a few years ago, back when i was looking for a new 1:1 project. his was rough, but certainly not junk. i tried to get my mom to ask them if they would be interested in selling because i knew they were moving. she never asked, even after i mentioned in NUMEROUS times! the car went to the junkyard and i ended up buying a '49 Plymouth instead. but man did i have plans for that Ford. i hate to think that car was crushed, it was a complete running car! oh, for the truck, it was supposed to be hot rod grey primer with red steelies. the only problem is that ugly assed custom grille or grilles that it comes with. i need the stock ones for the hood and the front, then i could paint them white and build this thing! anyone have the stock version of this truck that could spare me the grilles? Dave

Dave yeah that sucks to think about.... i have a friend that runs a salvage yard. he has all the old stuff off to one side , he will not have it crushed. good man he is!

The sad part is those ugly-ass 80's custom parts were newely tooled in the 90's. Sometimes i wonder what people were thinking when they design some of the custom parts(either of the major domestic companies), but at least we still got a pretty cool 60 chevy pickup kit.

ya, i agree!! that would look right at home on the truck!! how much modifing did you have to do to reach that ride height??? It's BAGGED! That would be the only thing that I could guess to get that kinda height. Look at the front wheel. See how it leans in? Tattle-tale of a bag supension.

I have this kit! I'll take a look at mine and see if I can scratch-up a stock fascimile, or custom, if ya' want. Should be pretty easy. another way to go would be to stick a GMC grille in it with there two-headlight array. Might also be able to use a grille form the '64 Mercury Marauder. THAT would look SWEET! LMK. PM me if interested.
