Thanks! I didn't want to wast a good engine on something that will always have the hood shut. I think I used the flathead in something else anyway.

Awesome! That turned out great! The color, the stance, the shaving...All of it!
Its funny...Today I just cut the roof off my lindberg 53 to graft to my amt 49 ford convertible. I'm finally going to try building my 51 ford victoria.

Nice job! Great stance and color. I agree with you on the use of the motor. Same story here with putting that 302 in the new Merc. Perfect combo.

Really nice. Interesting idea back dating the roof like that - it works well. Particularly like the Chevy grill - looks right at home.

Looks so simple. It belies the work that went into it. I agree about the rear pan, but maybe some tail lights and a license plate will help. But the roof's a great idea and the stance is just right. Looks great.

Nice! Great job integrating the '49 roof and the color works well with the chrome wheels and WWs. How 'bout a '56 Chevy rear bumper?

very nice job! i remember this one from a long time ago.
i'm not sure why no one seems to like the 302 from the Duece kits, it's a very nice engine! throw some Cobra valve covers on there from the GT350 kit and it's instantly taken back to a more "traditional" time.

Thanks guys. And thanks Steve!
I wanted a '54 sedan, but don't like the roof Ford put on from the factory. I had a "what if?" moment and made this. I think it would be a really cool touch on a real car, maybe even chop it slightly. I had to raise the hardtop windsheild and front roof section to match this, but I could have chopped the '49 roof down to match. Either way really makes the roof flow a lot better than a stock sedan, in my opinion.
I don't like the 302 motor because it's a Ford. It'd be a great motor for a mustang or falcon or something, but anything Ford built after '57 is out of my interest range ('60 skyliner, '67/8 Fastback mustangs, and select few others excluded). It doesn't have anything to do with the detail or how its dressed, in fact I think it's a pretty accurate engine in scale. But I wouldn't put a 1:1 Ford motor in anything I own, flatheads included. Just not my thing.
