Well I got part of a 1/1 model A body last November. Unfortunately I have no room for more parts to start building it at the moment so i have been building it in my head for the past year in preparation for when I do have room. Of course I need some way to see if some of my design ideas will work, so I am choosing to build a model which will more or less represent my plans. This way I will not seriously mess up vintage tin when the time comes. My new model car part filing system worked great to get me pretty much all of the parts I need for this. Its a mixture of some new parts (unmolested) and a lotta old re used parts that will need to be cleaned up and re painted. A mock-up of the pieces. The frame started out from a half built glue-bombed model that was found at a used junk store. I have had it for several years and it has been painted 3 times and beat to hell yet somehow still managed to remain pretty much intact. I'm stripping it down, smoothing it out and giving it a permanent home. Rear cross-member is flattened 40 ford. Front axle is 40 ford as well. Thanks for looking.

I don't know why I never thought of keepin' the aprons on! I like the way that looks. Gives it a lower look without havin' to do so much work. Nice start so far!
