got one of the wheels together (no glue yet). took about 10 mins to whittle away at the flash and such so i could get the two halves to meet "flush" and they look great! Hosted on Fotki

hell yeah that is the shit right there Bob, question tho....is there any way of going with a narrower tire up front....seems like all the models i see with these wheels on them they always have too wide of a tire on em IMO actually the rims themselves are too wide to scale. the tire i am using is a fraction too narrow for them. i could thin the rims out a little to fit the tire, but any skinnier of a tire, i would be screwed lol here is what one looks like 1:1 which i know you seen. as for width of the actual rim, they are two peices and about twice as wide as they should be. yeh i was thinking that that was the scenario....MrsO built the 64 falcon gasser a few months back for her mom's ex boyfreind (he had a 1/1 falcon) and now that you mentioned it i do remember the rims being pretty wide.....is there anyway of narrowing them..........for some reason im seeing these looking really good with a pair of MT Dragmasters or even with ModelHaus's 5.60's if my memory serves me well enuff, they are two peice wheels, what if you sanded the center of the wheel back down some and brought the rear spokes in closer (just a shot in the dark, but would that work?) well like i explained i could narrow them a tad to fit the tire cuz it's skinnier than the rim by a hair. i could not go much more than that though. the tires i am using are skinny as they come for the most part. they are skinnier than the Front Runners found on funny car kits and others. being that my tire is skinnier than the wheel, i don't think the tire is the prob lol this is best i can do with them considering how they are made.

i narrowed some of the 12 spokes from the '56 Victoria kit by sanding down the front half of the wheel to the spokes, then trimmed some off the center hub part. they arent bad wheels, just a bit too wide for some reason. Dave

Dave got pics of them? i guess im not too worried about it, but would like to see what can be done.
