Originally this build was started from inspiration by Dreadman's home made boat tail he built, but since its changed from that, to more of a drag theme boat tail speedster. At first it was gonna be a ardun powered flatty mounted in the center of the chassis, driver sat in front but now the body is mounted on a Wild Willie F/A chassis. (ardun heads were the 50 fords incorrect ones, this is why i didnt use them) The body started as a RPU model A from the AMT Woody kit, i then glued the hood after sectioning the middle lengthwise down the middle, and gluing it to the back. I did slice some outa the RPU also, say a 1/8th or so. Heres where im at now..and a mock up Im debating whether to use the top shell of the cockpit from the tony nancy kit. Im still at design really, i can even mount it up front and still keep the engine mid mounted, il see how it goes, as i mock up differant looks. Engine is a DOHC concept 426 hemi..only it would be FI with center stacks.

Is that DOHC hemi from the amt Super Bee? I finally tracked one of those kits down and it's a really cool engine. Not sure what to do with it yet, but your application of it here is perfect! Some enterprising hot rodder started tinkering with the hemi and needed a body to wrap it with, and there you go. Nice build!

Thanks for the kind words guys, i appreciate it! Yes the engine is from the 1970 AMT Plymouth Super Bee -Pro Street kit, i have about 5 of them when they were cheap at walmart, lotsa hemis for the future Im thinking Fuel Injection..but i MIGHT go s/c il mock it up, heres a pic for now. I started to sand the back half, glued in some support plastic inside, and will putty up the small holes. (superglue and baking soda have been used so far for its awesome structural holding power)
