Well, upon the suggestion of a KKIM member i decided to try a set of wires to liven things up a little. I broke out the wires from the revell 32 sedan and modified them to fit the original tires I chose. Well, i'm very happy with it. I added a couple other bits of color, and now I'm back on track with this one. Now that I'm inspired again maybe I'll finish it up soon.

I like it, Craig! Get a blood red interior in there, and you'll be stylin'.

Your spoke wheels absolutely Kick Ass How did You make them? How about a closer look at them. Please!! They are from the recently released Revell 32 Ford Tudor Sedan kit. I just painted the spokes. That's it . Once it's finished I'll get some better shots of the wheels for you.

I used the same wheel, but striped the chrome, sprayed with aluminum metalizer then hand painted the hubs and rims. I guess I'll be buying another 32 kit cuz Those look supersweet. Nice job!

I like the wheels. IMHO, you should have stayed with your idea to use a more subtle commercial color. Garish flake obliterates the fine character of this rod. Maybe some window panel grafix will tone it down. ;D

Maybe some window panel grafix will tone it down. ;D I appreciate your candid comments geezerman, and the color combo is one of the reasons it's taken this long to get color on it. i loved the idea of the commercial colors, but it didn't seem in keeping with the radical body treatment. Besides, the inspiration for this rod came from the sectioned deuces of Matt Trotta and Steve Hinson, the consecutive TRAK MoM winners. They are the reason I started this build, so I wanted to keep in the style they built theirs. While I'm not expecting to live up to theirs, I decided to stick with the original inspiration. Thanks again tho, I'm saving that idea for a future build. ;D

I am likin' this LOTS!! I was never very fond of those all-chrome wires in the Revell deuce, but after seeing your treatment, I like 'em!
