OK folks, this is my third hot rod build since I started all this madness earlier this year. The first one isn't done and I'm not ready to show it off here yet. The second one was posted earlier on the freakin' shelf. So we have this one. It's going to be a radical rod because I can't stop thinking about them right now. It's even hard to finish the two mild kustoms in front of me because of this thing. So I got the new Dremel for Christmas and I wanted to chop the top. That will be shown later, for now here's what I started with: AMT Deuce frame, Revell 31 Tudor body. This is after the first session of cutting. These next few are after the next session. I did this one the same way as the the Tub. If you want to see details try this: www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=8187&st=0&p=57892entry57892 Only difference is the rear has more kick-up on this one. More to come....

I like the How too GeorgeC Not a problem! I didn't see any here(I didn't look very hard either! ;D) so I thought I would fill in a blank. I enjoy sharing what I've learned and here's a way to do it.

I like how you opened up the AMT 32 frame. I gotta try that on my next one.

Thanks a lot guys! I really appreciate it. The top chop how-to probably won't happen with this one because I didn't take enough pics. It wasn't much anyway.... Just took the dremel and hacked away! I can post a thread about frame Z-ing and pinning for strength if you want. I have another update or two for this one but I'm goin' to bed soon so y'all can wait!

Thanks again guys for all the kind words. I enjoy doing this frame work a lot and I guess it shows. ;D As for major bodywork, maybe I can show a bit of how I'm butchering this top chop. Here is the first installment of it. It's going to take some work to get the driver's side right, but for my first attempt I don't think it's too screwed up. It looks like this side won't give me much of a fight. I can't decide if I want to do visible welds or not. I think this one shouldn't have them because it isn't in the picture in my head. I'm not scared to try them but I can do them on the Vicky when I do it later. I found a good pic on the 1:1 discussion thread about tradition with a sweet fenderless Vicky as main subject. It doesn't have them but that doesn't mean I can't use some artistic license with my build.

Got one more quickie update. For those of you wondering what I'm using for a mill for this 'ol pig, wonder no more! 312 Y-block with the factory option Paxton 'charger. You guys have just met me(so to speak) and don't know that I can't just use some old stock motor in anything I build. The more odd, the better for me! I also made a couple mockup shots before the chop with the steelies from a kustom Pontiac I'm working on at the moment. I'm not sure which wheels to use yet.... Steelies or wires....
