Hi there, I also have several projects on my bench. This is one of them nearly finished. I made a topchop, lowered the suspension added rims and wheels from the partsbox.I´ll have to do the engine and the windows and lights.Don´t know which engine I use so I stopped it for some time.I think I´ll use a newer Chevy engine, maybe mid60 style engine.I have a spare engine from an 67 Chevelle so this is my latest choice and I matches nice under the hood....so this one will be finished, soon. The first steps new trimlines added and a continental kit form an 59 Chevy More bodywork.... and the paint...grill was taken from an 53 chevy panel kit The BMF thing is also done.I have to take some newer pictures of this one. More will follow the next weeks... Cheers,Chris

That's some nice work. I'll admit that the Continental looks good on this! I normally don't care for them.

Hi there, thanks for the nice compliments... I´m still tinkering around for the right engine....Any ideas are welcome....The 67 Chevelle engine is okay but not "perfect" in my opinion.... Duane, yes I posted it on SA a long time ago..... So much started projects and no time during the last year.... Cheers,Chris

Alot of the early customs were more concerned with how they looked, not how they went, so the stock engine would be fine. Depending on the era, I would also go with a sbc, maybe the dual carb setup in the AMT retool of the 57 that came out a few years ago or for something different, you could use the hemi setup out of the 57 300C.

Nice Fleetline! It sure has some custom gimmicks you don't see every day - It really stands out from the crowd!
