last pic for the night, a teaser mock-up of the painted body! the interior i painted with some Scale Motorsport texture paint in tan. i wanted it to be like that itchy scratchy stock stuff that's in the stock 32's. nothing like riding in 100 degree summer heat in shorts on one of those seats! hopefully tomorrow i'll have some time to build the interior. being retired, um unemployed since last spring has left me with alot of time to build, and without much money! i help my wife with her real estate business and am working on getting my real estate license as well. besides the money thing it's nice to be able to spend alot more time with my family than i ever was before and do the things i never had time for. my previous job had me busy for 60 hours or more a week and tired and pissed the rest of the time. before i may finish 2, maybe 3 projects a year, now i can just sit down and build if i want to. this afternoon i'm busy, but i do hope to build the interior tonight! Dave

Dave Except for the retired part and the fact I now rely on just my income I understand. I make 1/2 what I did about two years ago, but I am not working 60+ hours a week or tired and pissed the rest of the time. Money is tight but I am a helluva lot more happy. And your build, Dave, another great looking build, a very mid-sixties feel to it. Charles

my previous job had me busy for 60 hours or more a week and tired and pissed the rest of the time. Dave I know how that feels...70-80 hours a week here...2 jobs, a bunch of dumbasses to put up with at both, and I miss my wife and child. now I know why I'm so darn cranky... I can't stop looking at the sedan Dave...I like it alot. Gray

finally i got some bench time! i sat down today and although i have some kind of flu/head/stomach thing going on, i was able to do some building. i assembled the interior and then tried fitting it into the body, get ready for that fight! lots of cussing later and some reassembly of the interior i finally figured out how to get it into the body. it is a VERY tight fit and you have to really spread the body sides out pretty far! probably helps to not glue the firewall in place until afterwards as well. the interior turned out nice and itchy scratchy like i wanted it to. i used a B&M box shifter from the old Monogram flip front '66 Chevelle to shift the Buick's automatic. i tried to be as true to the early to mid 60's as i could. i added a chrome tach to the dash after the interior was permanently in place. hope you guys like it so far. Dave

super cool! did you use FAUX fabric for the seats? flocking on floor? looks good! when i was living at home we had a '65 GMC stepside pickup with a B&M shifter like that. It was kind of a pain to bend over and shift, but it was one hell of a monster to drive too! NICE ROD! KEEP IT COMING!

Great interior! I love the color scheme of the whole rod. I especially like the windshield propped open! This thing is killer as usual.
