Here's my fairly recent chopped Chev Fleetline. Kept the 6 banger in it. Modified the suspension to get it low and channelled the interior tub over the frame to get it all to fit.

i like this one Clay! i didn't know you channeled the tub. that is what i was going to do also. Darryl Gassaway is working on one right now as well and he said he had to in order to get the car to sit low. he said he took an 1/8 inch off it to get it down. is that about how much you did?

Burner, I think i just went the thickness of the frame: That garage is stripwood over foamboard panels. I thought I had more WIP fotos in this album: public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/1/clay_gratz/dioramas/background_photo_prop/But I guess not. there are a few earlier in the construction and some finish overall fotos that might give you the extent of this photo backdrop. I had chronicled a lot of the construction in the first version of the DPMCC forum. Cheers, and thanks for the comps, all.

i love that chop Geezer !!! the fleetline has a roof that just begs to be chopped because the chop adds a certain elegance to the car when executed perfectly. thanks, Duane
