This build was inspired by a model that Cooltoys posted a short time ago. It is also my first ever build of the old Revel/Monogram 32 Ford Roadster. A Basic Builder kit was located at K-Mart, of all places. It is molded in black plastic and just as Jay stated it only needed two light coats of Tamiya Gloss Black paint. I used the Pontiac engine from the AMT 36 Ford kit with the induction system from the AMT 66 Buick Wildcat kit. Modelhass slicks were also used. Jay, thanks for the inspiration for this build. I really like this kit!

I will buy more of these kits next year as Revel/Monogram is re releasing it again!

Sweet looking build of a classic kit! The paint looks fantastic and the Poncho motor was a great choice.

I've always enjoyed this roadster kit and built 3 or 4 of them in my teens. Even tho some would consider it a "simple" kit, it really gives you a lot of cool hot rod parts that results in a good looking hot rod like this one. And, because of all those cool old parts it's a great source for kit-bashing other builds. I wasn't aware it was getting re-issued again but I hope they mold it in white this time around.

i don't know how we keep missing each other. i've been looking at your builds on the tables at the MAMA's meetings for 3-4 months already and havent met you yet! got to meet Marcos for the first time this past weekend. hopefully we'll cross path's at the Christmas meeting!
