People seem to think this is a traditional rod, but as the guy who built it, I've got my doubts... I kind of think the 4-link front suspension, Ford Courier (Mazda pickup, not the early sedan delivery!) steering wheel, and the hodgepodge of a chopped Deuce grille and T turtle deck sandwiching a hybrid A/T (A roadster cowl/Ala Kart Modified T tub), kind of rule it out as a purely traditional rod? In addition- I haven't seen to many early rods powered by Ford 170 inline sixes, either! What say the experts?

some would say this is a "rat rod" but i don't think it is. is it traditional? could be! i don't really see anything here that screams "i was built after '69" so i think it's okay.
there's not a whole lot of 6 cylinder builders here but there have been some nice ones. i'm glad to see you made it over here and i think you know pretty much what this place is about already.

It may not be to everyones likeing, however i think it looks cool myself, and if you hadnt mentioned the ford courier steering wheel (which looks older then it is anyways) i doubt there would be any issues with it.

Ha! Yeah- the Courier wheel looks straight outta '65- one of the reasons I used it! That and I had one handy!

If you hadn't pointed out those parts I wouldn't have especially picked up on them so I'd reckon it's TRAKable. Crazy exhaust pipe there fella!
