If you've been following my other thread on this, you know it's history. This is a flea market find that I've re-built. I've tried to follow the ideas of it's original builder, while refining and cleaning it up. The major changes were in the back end. I restored some of the stock contours, created a roll pan and tunneled the tail lights. The grill and head lights came from my parts bin. The tail lights, I cast from clear resin, and painted with Tamiya Clear Red. The tires are, I believe, vintage JoHan. I retained the wheels, scavenger pipes, tonneau cover and '61 plate that came with it. The chassis, engine, and interior were not touched, and are just as found. The color is DupliColor Metalcast Purple Anadoized over DupliColor Metalcast Base Coat. This was applied over DupliColor Primer Sealer which was over numerous coats of their primer.

Great save! That color pops, and you've certainly paid homage to the spirit of the original build. Well done!
